The personalized welcome we received at Carpe Diem was absolutely remarkable. The manager, Thrasos, greeted us with canapés and wine while we waited for our room. He even surprised us with a complimentary massage due to our early arrival. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the staff made us feel like royalty throughout our stay. The views from our room were breathtaking, and the cleanliness of the property was impeccable. The hotel's location allowed us to relax and enjoy the paradise of Santorini without needing to leave. The breakfast and lunch prepared by Chef Mario were delicious, and the staff was always available to offer recommendations and assistance with our plans. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful destination.

Pyrgos is close to the beaches, the other main villages & Fira cliff.. recommended for: honeymooners - if you want a break from everything - if you want to be isolated from the rest of the world & at the same time you can join the party life in less than seconds...
the extra charges such as the mini-bar... it is not clear in the final bill !!!?

I had a fantastic time during my stay at Carpe Diem Santorini. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring that all my needs were met. The room was luxurious and spacious, with a cozy and comfortable hotel theme. While the location was not in the center, Pyrgos had everything I needed for my daily activities. The hotel provided exceptional service, with personalized touches and attention to detail. The breakfast was exquisite, with a customized setup for each guest. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, and everything was kept immaculately clean. it was a perfect and wonderful experience.

The hotel had a great view of the surrounding towns and villages, making for a picturesque stay. The heated swimming pool was a nice touch, especially during the cooler evenings. The staff was attentive and provided personalized service, making recommendations and ensuring the guests had a memorable experience. Its location was convenient, with easy access to the village centers via car or taxi.
Getting to the hotel was quite a challenge, especially with the steep hill that needed to be walked every day. It would be more convenient to have a car or quad to navigate the area.

Amazing Experience. Nice hotel. The Manager Mr. George was very helpful with arranging everything for us in Santorini. Great experience. The slh hotels are proving to be really a great choice.

The hotel is located away from the main areas of Santorini, on a hill with panoramic views of the island. It is close enough to enjoy everything the island has to offer, while being in a peaceful retreat. The rooms are spacious and clean, with elegant minimalist design. The breakfast is delicious and served at the terrace. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service at all times. The spa, sauna, and jacuzzi offer a relaxing experience.
The spa lacks the option of two therapists simultaneously, requiring couples to take turns for treatments.

cleanliness; very friendly staff; quiet place of hotel with great overview of island; breakfast at own terrace
the really only and minor thing we didn't like was that the water of the common and private pool was very cold and that the suites below are not so private as the upper suites

Arriving and being „welcomed“ at Carpe Diem we can only describe as the worst hotel experience in our lifetime. Although we advised the hotel that we would arrive very early in the morning it was strange that our taxi driver had to wake up the night guard at 7.00 A.M. to let us in after waiting outside the gate for a while. We were surprised that nobody else was to be found at the reception to take care of us. Nobody really expects that the booked room is ready at this time of the day but in a 5 star hotel you expect at least a decent welcome and reception that is in line with the hotel category. Here: total failure! After 2 hours of waiting we convinced someone in the kitchen to serve us some sort of a breakfast. There was still no sight of a receptionist. For her we had to wait another hour. Finally at 10.00 h we saw her and explained our total dissatisfaction and claimed to see the reservation Manager. She apparently did not want to see us but we were promised to meet the director, what finally happened at 11.00 H. “Carpe Diem” translated, means something different! By that time we were fed up and prepared to leave the hotel again and spent our days on Santorini somewhere else. There was no courtesy at all from the director’s side and he ultimately forced us to stay, claiming a 100 % charge should we leave. After this total disappointment we strolled around in Pyrgos and finally could occupy our room at 2.00 p.m. Although Carpe Diem and the room optically leave a good first impression, it lacks attention to details or the understanding of what really makes a 5 star hotel: used glasses were never cleaned and left in our room, no rubbish bin in our bathroom, the loose toilet seat was never fixed etc. The toilet near the communal pool had no toilet seat at all. We nevertheless enjoyed our stay in Santorini, although Carpe Diem did not at all promote such feelings. We advise future guests to think twice whether they want to spend their time and money there.
